Indonesia 2025

Two members of Wight Dolphins, Gary & Jan Fletcher, travelled to Indonesia (North Sulawesi) for two weeks of diving in March with Murex at Bangka Island and Manado (Bunaken Island). The water temperature was an incredible 28 degrees C at depth, making diving a pleasure in the very clear and beautiful waters.

The main highlights of the diving were reefs teeming full of sea life, huge turtles, different varieties of clown fish, black & white tip reef sharks, moray eels and so much more.

Bangka Island was a stunning location and offered both reef and ‘muck’ diving whereas Manado offered Bunaken Island which is a national park. The emphasis here was wall diving and the turtles were in abundance and there were fish of all sizes everywhere, including passing sharks in the deep.

Jan celebrated her milestone 100th dive whilst diving with the turtles at Bunaken.
