Wight Dolphins Sub Aqua Club is pleased to announce that we will again be hosting a series of Try Dive events on dates throughout the winter period of 2026/27.

The winter period is very much our ‘off-season’ for scuba diving as the weather is usually too cold and unpredictable. It does however make an excellent time to start learning to dive using the warm indoor swimming pool facilities at Freshwater. In this way new divers learn their skills from our BSAC qualified instructors in a very safe sheltered environment, before venturing outdoors in the springtime to continue their training and eventually gain BSAC qualification.

The first question most people ask is ‘Will I enjoy scuba diving?’

To help answer this, Wight Dolphins SAC provides new to the sport ‘Try Divers’ a one-off bespoke opportunity to experience scuba diving. The try dive is a 45 minute one to one training session with a qualified experienced club diver; that progressively introduces them to the basic skills required to enable them to move around and breathe underwater. Most people that try it, absolutely love it!

The 2026/27 price for the Try Dive experience is £40 per person. Payment is required to confirm your booking.
